I believe it can be very educational (even if a bit awkward) for most FreeCAD users to try sketching without 'Auto remove redundants' and 'Auto constraints' for a while. Horizontality in that case is already implied and thus taken care of, in the symmetry. Of course if you make two points symmetrical around a vertical axis or edge, it makes no logical sense to also apply a horizontal constraint between them. I don't really see how they conflict, and I just tried in both 0.19 and 0.21. I also noticed with this update that the symmetry constraint now conflicts with horizontal/vertical constraints, Without seeing your file, no one can help you with this further than just confirming the problem. Also, in many cases they fail where several edges come together, or if there isn't space to complete the fillet or chamfer.

Sometimes it helps doing things in a slightly different order. I have had issues (Recompute Failed) creating fillets/chamfers on very basic geometry that shouldn't be broken in any way.įillets and chamfers (and thickness, and some other functions) are notorious in FreeCAD for often failing for no clear reason.
